Victorian Property, Notting Hill

The property was completely stripped back to a bare shell when our clients bought it.  The Architect (George Clarke) very cleverly used every inch of space to its full potential.  The existing back addition flank wall was removed and rebuilt with insulated cavity walls and second hand stock brickwork to the outer skin to match the existing Victorian brickwork.  

The rear main roof slope was removed and a large dormer constructed.  All of the work was carried out in house including the complicated steelwork to the roof and staircases. The property was extended to the rear using a steel structural frame. The rear elevation had bespoke folding glass doors to the full height and width and a glass roof to the side return.

A handmade kitchen was installed by one of our preferred cabinet makers.  There is a completely new mechanical and electrical installation. Audio visual requirements were very important to our client (a professional musician).

They were carefully designed and installed by the audio visual company we have employed on many of our projects. Various pieces of handmade Oak furniture were made and installed by our own joiners. The interior and exterior of the property were completely decorated.
